This post will move away from shoes for a moment and take a look at upcoming trends for women’s and men’s fall/winter clothing. For us folks in the northern hemisphere it will be here before we know it and our southern hemisphere friends are just getting started with their time in the colder weather. It is exciting to see the shift of style in fashion.
One fashion style I’m seeing again this season is bold color blocked prints with large strips in strong colors on cute and cosy knitwear. In addition, I see quirky prints like crosses, skulls and hearts for an on-trend look. Both practical and stylish, Women’s jumpers and cardigans provide layers of warmth and they are essential for all seasons. Whether it is button down, zipper or pullover, sweaters signify the change from warm summer to cool winter.
Jeans, on the other hand, are coming back with many of the same styles we’ve seen in the last couple of years. They are so versatile and they are a must-have for every wardrobe! Jeans work perfectly for either day or night. When you’ve found the perfect pair they can be styled up or dressed down. I’ve also read that we will be seeing many varieties of jean skirts and dresses this fall. From smart super-skinny jeans offered in a rainbow of colors to laid back oversized boyfriend jeans in standard denim blue, the choices are many. The trend for a more formal look, moves toward tailored trousers and cropped cigarette trousers. Vintage looks sporting a high waist and cropped tight at the ankles bring everything that is old to be new again.
Since this blog is mainly about vegan shoes, we can’t leave our feet out of the equation. The big trend this year in footwear is platform heels with ankle straps. They are great for gals like me with narrow feet and always having trouble keeping our shoes on. Ankle straps add a bit of sexy and interest to your good looking legs and provide a focal point for a nice buckle and
Look for bold neon colors. Green is sure to be particularly popular due to pantone naming Emerald Green as the color of the year. Bright graphic prints will be everywhere. Fabrics will be shiny and sparkly, think iridescent.
