I’m looking for some cute vegan flats to wear now that the weather is getting warmer and I can forego wearing socks. I found these cute ones from Madden Girl which have several interesting varieties. animal print of purple? Or should I just go with basic black? (you should see how many black shoes that I own…it is sick!) I think purple could look great peeping out from a pair of jeans or from a pair of black slacks. The reviews all come in enthusiastically positive for comfort and looks. One reviewer proudly mentioned that they DO kind of look like slippers which just just adds to their eccentric coolness. The folks from ecosox.com offered me some bamboo eco socks to test drive in exchange for an honest review. The socks are advertised to be great for running, walking, active sports and everyday activities.

I tried them out for a few walks and completed a few workouts in them. They are great socks! …they put all my other socks to shame, since they are really comfortable and very soft on the feet. They seemed to cushion my feet and make them feel comfortable and rested. The socks are made from bamboo and from what I read from the FAQ on their website, the best features of bamboo are that bamboo is grown without pesticides or chemicals, and is naturally regenerative.

These are really cute boots that have three wide straps and big buckles that go around the calf. They are not necessarily heavy and warm, so you may want to wear them with an extra pair of socks if you live somewhere cold this winter. But they are very versatile and come in five different colors! (black, black distress, brown paris, natural paris, and taupe paris). The reviewers on Amazon all comment on how they look much beter in person than they do in the photos. They are made from synthetic leather and have Manmade soles. The shaft measures 10.5″ from the arch. These boots also have an “ankle boot” version which is a little different but the same general style.
